[Interlude]

This is beautiful. Plain and simple. The art, the voicework, and especially the way the ending works with the entire movie. I love movies that make me go back and watch it a 2nd time, from a new perspective.

I thought the small details were really cool... especially when the main character throws his arm around his friend and says "That's why I considered you the best friend I ever had..."

Why would he say "had" if they're still friends?? Because he's f*@!ng time traveling! MINDF*!&.

Incredible job. I'm not into animating but this is something animators should strive for... beautiful animation and a beautiful story.

Wow. That got really, really tense toward the end... awesome stuff, geez. I would've stayed with the ambiance you had created by the end... I was genuinely invested in the guy and his dog, but the ending kind of turned its back on all that suspense and fear you've built up for a.... different kind of ending. I really wanted to see what it had been.

But that's just my one criticism. I can easily see this being a short story by Stephen King. Very modest build-up of tension... very simple but powerful portrayals of horror, no bells and whistles. Respectable. The knocking all over the roof sent chills up my spine. Definitely a favorite.

...but it's always good to come back to Flashes like this. The painful detail that is put into just the backdrop of every scene is astounding. You are a Flash god, Mr. Philips, and a creative visionary.

Good God. I always wondered when the rest of the series was going to follow that trailer and here it is, four years later. The time you took shows. A lot. That doomsday feel is very real. I can't wait to see the rest.
